WHITE LILIES IN ACRYLIC

I thought it was about time I added something to the gallery and now I have added a background to my satisfaction to bring out the strong shapes of the flowers, I have chosen the pair of acrylic paintings of lilies from my garden I started last year. The flower shapes have been created with acrylic paste, giving them a 3D effect and then painted. I have added gold and copper paints and beeds to make the works more decorative.

2 WHITE LILIES WITH COPPER BACKGROUND AND STAMENS
Although shown framed here in this posting, they are for sale as unframed canvases 16 x 20"

1 FISHING BOATS AT KINGS LYNN NORFOLK
2 STROLLING ON HUNSTANTON BEACH NORFOLK

I dont often paint landscapes, though I love water, so I surprised myself when I created these two pieces. I was on my way round the quayside to go shopping when I saw the fleet in with the fishing nets still up! Very naughty I parked the car up and went through the gate marked NO TRESPASSING or some such negative statement to go over to talk to some fishermen to see if I could sketch an little and take some photos. I must admit I used the photography for all the rigging detail, but glad I had seen it in the flesh so to speak, as there were 5 cabins and 5 masts and hulls you would never have realised otherwise.

As regards Hunstanton beach, I confess it is a made up situation in respect of the people and birds but otherwise based on a trip to this local seaside spot with lighthouse and coloured cliffs.

Both in acrylic on canvas at £225 each plus postage and packing.

TYPICAL ENGLISH PUBS

1

2
1 GONE FOR A BEER
2 HAPPY HOUR
When we lived in the Fens (East Anglia of England) the village pub was just a few yards up the road and I wanted to create the feeling of typical pub interiors when I realised not many of my works were suitable for men. I thoroughly enjoyed creating these two from imagination adding lots of golds. They are acrylic works painted on acrylic paper rather than canvas and are available double mounted sized 25 x 15 inches at £185 each.
